Kohima: District Hospital Dimapur and ICFAI University Nagaland signed a formal agreement this Friday. The deal focuses on driving voluntary blood donations. It aims to save lives by increasing the supply of safe blood for those in need.
Dr. Rongsenmar Lkr, the medical officer at the hospital’s blood center, and ICFAI registrar Dr. Rupanka Bhuyan signed the documents. Several staff members watched. Both sides committed to better institutional cooperation and more community involvement.
Dr. Lkr pushed for more donation events statewide. He wants the public to understand why regular donations matter. Dr. Bhuyan labeled the work a noble social service. He noted the university is ready to help the cause, stating, "The university looked forward to contributing to the cause through the collaboration."
The partnership seeks to move past passive support. It wants active participation from students and the public alike. Everyone involved hopes this bond makes finding blood easier for patients.
