Kohima: The Blood Centre at District Hospital Dimapur signed a deal with ICFAI University Nagaland on September 18. Both sides want more volunteers. The goal is saving lives through organized donation efforts.

Dr. Rongsenmar Lkr from the District Hospital and Registrar Dr. Rupanka Bhuyan signed the pact. Officials from both groups watched the process. They hope to drive up awareness across the state. Regular donations keep blood banks stocked.

Dr. Bhuyan called the initiative a noble form of social service. He promised that the university remains committed to the cause. As he noted, "Saving Lives through Voluntary Blood Donation" sits at the heart of this partnership.

This collaboration links an academic institution with public health services. It aims to push community participation to new levels. Greater involvement ensures hospitals have safe blood ready for patients who need it most.
