Dimapur Traders Demand Action After Businessman Abducted

Kohima: New Market GB Khekishe Aye sounded the alarm after businessman Altaf Hussain was snatched from the bustling commercial hub on October 28. Hussain is safe now. The abduction remains a major point of contention for local leadership.

Aye argued this event is not a one-off. Criminal activity continues to plague the area despite numerous pleas for help from the authorities. The local GB is pushing the police and district administration to hunt down the culprits and lock them away. "The incident could not be treated as an isolated occurrence," Aye stated in a press release.

Shoppers and residents are rattled. The kidnapping has shredded public confidence in the current security setup at the crowded market. Aye wants more than just a release of the victim. He expects actual accountability and a rigorous investigation into who pulled the strings.

The GB is calling for a heavy police presence. He wants frequent patrols, better surveillance technology, and solid preventive measures to stop the next crime before it starts. The area hosts people from many communities trying to earn a living. The administration must prioritize safety over convenience.
