Dimapur Police Search for Relatives of Man Found Under Flyover

Kohima: Dimapur police are hunting for the kin of a man who died at District Hospital Dimapur. He never regained his strength. Officers found the non-local man in critical condition under the city flyover on September 1. A reporter alerted authorities to the scene at 2:20 PM.

Witnesses said he lay near the auto parking area for three days. Police moved him to the hospital immediately. He died on September 5 while receiving care. An inquest took place in the male ward before his body went to the morgue for DNA extraction.

The man was 25 to 30 years old with a light-brown complexion. He wore a grey T-shirt, black pants, and white slippers. A black mole sits on the center of his chest. Officials believe he was Hindu, so they notified the Hindu Samaj, Dimapur. The Deputy Commissioner of Police stated, "Claimants, relatives, or friends of the deceased have been urged to contact the Officer-in-Charge, East Police Station, Dimapur, at mobile number 7085055020 to claim the body or provide information."
