Shillong Cosplayer Zacky D Heads to Singapore for Global Battle

Shillong: Donald Khumlo is heading to Singapore. The Shillong-based cosplayer, better known as Zacky D, will represent India at the Cosplay Fight Club: All-Star Team Battle. The event runs from December 11 to 13, 2026. Khumlo brings a decade of experience in costume design, character portrayal, and live performance to the stage.

The competition includes a Spotlight Performance, a Character Challenge, and a high-stakes five-versus-five team battle. Judges evaluate craftsmanship, storytelling, choreography, and how well performers inhabit their roles. The panel features Hollywood actor and stunt performer Richard Cetrone, who worked on Justice League and Captain America: Civil War. Japanese writer Nobuyuki Takahashi, who coined the term "cosplay" in the 1980s, will also judge the entries.

Khumlo is a veteran of the global stage. He previously represented India at the 2023 World Cosplay Summit in Japan, the 2023 Gamers8 Cosplay Cup in Saudi Arabia, and Pop Culture Hiroshima in 2020 and 2022. His inclusion in the Singapore lineup signals a growing influence for artists from Meghalaya within the international scene. He is moving the needle for Northeast India in the global community of fans and designers.
