Shillong: The Zenith Jubelieth Club is staging the 27th All Shillong Dr. M.M. Das Memorial Inter-College/Higher Secondary School Debate Competition. The event hits the auditorium of Laban Bengalee Boys Higher Secondary School on Streamlet Road this September 19. Doors open at 2:30 pm.
Organizers want schools and colleges from across Shillong to compete. Each institution must send a two-person team. One student argues for the motion, and the other argues against it. The central topic of the day centers on a single claim: "Social media does more harm than good for a healthy democracy."
