Naga Youth Group Urges Peace Between Yimkhiung and Tikhir Tribes

Kohima: The Youth Association of Nagaland issued an urgent plea for peace today. Tensions between the Yimkhiung and Tikhir tribes are rising. The organization wants both sides to calm down and talk through their problems.

The group insists these communities form a vital part of the Naga family. They worry that current disagreements could break the long-standing bonds of brotherhood and mutual respect. Leaders, elders, and youth need to show restraint right now. They must avoid any rhetoric that might push the situation toward violence.

Stop the rumors. Verify the facts. The association is pushing for everyone to back legitimate peace efforts instead of spreading hearsay that feeds instability.

“Differences may arise, but they should never become a reason for lasting division. Let us work together to protect our people, preserve our relationships, and secure a peaceful future for the younger generation,” the group stated in its press release. The path forward relies on choosing dialogue over confrontation.
