Dhanamanjuri University Inks Deal with South Korean Schools

Imphal: Dhanamanjuri University sealed a deal with five South Korean universities this Monday. The signing happened in Room 73 at the D.M. College of Science. Both sides want to push academic collaboration, joint research, and faculty swaps. Skill development sits at the center of the pact.

DMU Vice-Chancellor Prof. W. Chandbabu Singh called the agreement a major milestone for the institution. He expects the link to open doors for students to study abroad and find work at Korean companies. The plan includes Korean language courses and direct job pathways. Singh sees this as a bridge to employment in India and overseas.

Prof. Tae Kyung Kim from the Dong-Eui Institute of Technology in Busan led the delegation. He explained that their focus rests on vocational training that mixes classroom theory with hands-on work. South Korea needs workers. The country is dealing with a shrinking population and high demand for skilled labor. Kim noted: "South Korean institutions were exploring opportunities to recruit and train students from other countries, including Manipur."

This partnership creates a path for Manipuri students to gain training and jobs within specific industrial sectors. The delegation hopes to keep the momentum going with regular meetings. They want to turn these plans into long-term projects.
