Manipur High Court welcomes 300 new lawyers

Imphal: Justice A. Guneshwar Sharma of the High Court of Manipur demanded total honesty from the state's newest legal minds. He spoke at an enrolment certificate distribution event held at the High Court auditorium. The Bar Council of Manipur hosted the ceremony for 300 graduates. These individuals finished their LLB degrees between 2023 and 2025. Each person met all eligibility requirements set by the Bar Council of India.

The courtroom demands character. Justice Sharma told the group they must discharge their duties with sincerity, dedication, and accountability. He said: "Ethical conduct is essential for earning respect and trust in society." The message was clear. New lawyers must protect the dignity of their profession while helping those who cannot afford representation.

Top officials watched the ceremony unfold. High Court Judges Justice A. Bimol Singh and Justice A. Guneshwar Sharma sat alongside Advocate General Lenin Hijam. Bar Council of Manipur Chairman S. Brajabihari also attended the event. The program recognized the new advocates while reinforcing the heavy expectations placed on their shoulders.
