The legal challenge targets the state's July 2, 2026 notification, labeled No. 8/1/97-WBM, which launched the board's formation process. Advocate Abhishek Prasad Sahu represents the petitioner in this dispute.
The petition claims the state ignored mandatory statutory requirements for the board's makeup. Specifically, the suit highlights a lack of female representation and failures to meet other required quotas.
