Kohima: The Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer of Chümoukedima wrapped up intensive training for Booth Level Officers and Booth Level Agents. These sessions ran at the DC office conference hall between July 16 and July 21, 2026. The work supports the upcoming Special Intensive Revision 2026 of the electoral roll.
District Master Trainer and Assistant Programmer Shreyansee led the workshops for Booth Level Officers from July 16 to July 18. Shreyansee served as the resource person, focusing on the skills required to manage the revision process. Staff later submitted attendance logs and photos to the Chief Electoral Officer of Nagaland.
On July 21, the district held a separate session for Booth Level Agents. The Assistant Election Officer in charge opened the day with a call for accuracy. The Assistant Election Officer stated, "The significance of the SIR and the importance of timely and accurate electoral roll management" remain a priority for the district.
Trainers instructed the agents on the use of the election portal and formal procedures for filing claims and objections. They emphasized the need for close coordination with Electoral Registration Officers. The event ended with an interactive session where leaders urged everyone to follow Election Commission of India guidelines.
