Kohima: The District Agriculture Office in Kiphire joined forces with Krishi Vigyan Kendra to train Community Resource Persons on natural farming. The session ran from October 30 to November 4, 2026. DAO Rokhwetsholo Kapfo kicked things off by emphasizing the shift toward sustainable methods. He pushed for wider adoption of these practices across the region.
Inspectors Imlisanen Jamir, Leiwang, and Shingloi led various technical sessions. They broke down the mechanics of natural farming for the attendees. Dr. Karibasappa C.S. explained the core principles, while Dr. Alok Dubey detailed the importance of soil health. Experts want these workers to spread the word.
Dr. Manjunath managed the practical side of the workshop. He showed the group how to mix and apply inputs like Beejamrut, Jeevamrut, and Neemastra. These hands-on demonstrations gave the participants the tools they need to help local farmers. The organizers stated, "The programme aimed to equip CRPs with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to promote natural farming practices among farming communities."
