Deputy Commissioner and District Water and Sanitation Mission chairperson Polan John led the meeting. He demanded clear planning and total transparency from all agencies. These funds aim to bolster drinking water supply, sanitation, and solid waste management district-wide. He stressed the importance of "proper planning, transparency and effective utilisation of the grants" to get the job done right.
Experts from the Public Health Engineering Department and the Rural Development Department ran the technical training. They walked staff through operational guidelines and fund implementation. The event wrapped up with a strategy session. Officials debated how to best manage these projects at the village level.
