Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and BJP national general secretary Biplab Kumar Deb rolled up their sleeves Thursday. They visited a mega blood donation camp at Pragya Bhavan in Agartala. The event serves as a kickoff for the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan campaign honoring Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. The leaders donated blood alongside other participants.
Deb, the representative for the Tripura West Lok Sabha constituency, spent time praising Modi’s tenure. He noted the Prime Minister’s long career spanning his time as chief minister and his current role leading the nation. Deb claimed the country is pushing hard toward the Viksit Bharat goal. He pointed to domestic production of warships and fighter aircraft as proof of growing military self-reliance. Digital India initiatives have also brought modern services to regular citizens, he added.
Dr. Saha toured the venue and chatted with donors before giving his own blood. Organizers designed the event to show public support through humanitarian action. Reflecting on the Prime Minister's impact, Deb stated, "Modi had worked for the people for a long period, first as chief minister and later as prime minister." The camp remains part of a wider schedule of service projects across the region.
