Agartala: Tripura beneficiaries of state and federal welfare schemes will light lamps at their homes on September 17. The BJP state leadership organized the drive to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday. Party officials call the project Ashirwad Ka Diya. It aims to seek blessings for the Prime Minister's health and long life.
State BJP president Abhishek Debroy confirmed the details after visiting a blood donation camp at GB Pant Hospital. The BJP Yuva Morcha Sadar District unit hosted the event. More than 200 donors arrived to give blood. Debroy claimed the initiative would help solve persistent shortages in local blood banks.
"On September 17, all beneficiaries of state and Central government-sponsored schemes will light a lamp at their homes to bless Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This exercise has been named Ashirwad Ka Diya," Debroy said. The party is holding similar camps across all district headquarters in Tripura to set a record for blood collection.
Leaders expect these service projects to bolster the Prime Minister's standing. They believe the country progresses under his leadership. The party plans to continue these welfare efforts throughout the birthday cycle.
