Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha visited a blood donation camp in Agartala on Monday. The Nikhil Tripura Mahanam Sebak Sangha hosted the event at Mahanam Angan in Banamalipur. The camp marked the institution's anniversary. Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumder joined other dignitaries, ashram volunteers, and office-bearers at the gathering.
Dr. Saha pushed for younger generations to embrace religious and spiritual life. He believes these practices help people understand their purpose and define right from wrong. He specifically highlighted the teachings of Sanatan Dharma. "Sanatan Dharma teaches us values of purposeful life, honesty, kindness and tolerance," he said. He credited this framework for the survival of Indian civilization despite centuries of attacks.
The Chief Minister noted the camp served as a bridge for the community. It brought together people who are typically consumed by their own busy schedules. He argued that religious institutions help build mental strength and courage for everyday life. He stated that the government and spiritual groups share the burden of keeping society integrated.
Organizers emphasized their commitment to social welfare. The blood drive acts as a core part of their social responsibility. They also used the platform to encourage voluntary donations to help solve local blood shortages.
