Agartala: Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha unveiled new statues of Swami Vivekananda and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose at the Netaji Subhash Regional Coaching Centre in Agartala. The event mixed historical pride with urgent medical action. Nearly 100 people signed up to donate blood at the site.

Saha pushed the youth to step up. He highlighted that blood is essential for accident victims, thalassemia patients, and those needing surgeries. "Blood has no artificial substitute," Saha told the crowd. He called the act a noble social responsibility and urged healthy citizens to donate often.

The event also pivoted to physical fitness. Saha warned that too much time on mobile phones and sedentary habits hurt the next generation. He demanded parents put children into sports early to build discipline and leadership. He pledged to keep upgrading sports infrastructure across Tripura to support local talent.

Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumder attended the ceremony alongside various dignitaries. They focused on building a stronger, more disciplined society through civic duty. The statues stand as reminders of the patriotism and service championed by Vivekananda and Bose.
