Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha visited the Child Care Unit at Ujan Abhoynagar on Thursday. The visit was part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, a state-wide initiative launched to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi completing 25 years in public service. Social Welfare and Social Education Minister Tinku Roy, Special Secretary Kuntal Das, and Director L. Ranchal joined the Chief Minister for the tour. They are observing the period as Seva Diwas.
Saha spoke to the children and students living at the facility. He pushed officials to encourage music and yoga practice alongside regular schoolwork. The state wants these students to achieve self-reliance and gain economic power. He reminded the residents they are not alone. "Human beings are there for one another. If this thought remains in society, it will become more beautiful and a better place for everyone to live," Dr. Saha said. He told the facility managers to treat the children like their own kin.
The Chief Minister noted that several former residents now hold jobs across the country after finishing nursing courses like GNM and ANM or undergraduate degrees. The visit wrapped up with a cultural show and a yoga demonstration by the students. Saha handed out gifts to the group and offered well wishes for their futures.

Later Thursday, Saha shifted his focus to Udaipur. He trekked to the Mata Tripurasundari Temple to join the Ashirwad Ka Diya program. Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, Forest Minister Animesh Debbarma, and BJP state president Abhishek Debroy shadowed the Chief Minister for the ceremony.
Saha knelt at the shrine to pray for the Prime Minister. He specifically requested good health and a long life for the national leader, citing the 25-year service milestone and the Prime Minister's birthday as the impetus for the trip. In a social media post following the ritual, Saha stated, May Maa Tripurasundari’s blessings illuminate the path of Viksit Bharat and inspire us to serve the people with renewed dedication.
