Guwahati: Baksa district officials gathered at the DRDA Conference Hall in Mushalpur this August to review local development. They scrutinized the rollout of government schemes across the region. The list of attendees included MLAs Thaneswar Basumatary and Maneswar Brahma, alongside Executive Members Augustus Tigga and Begum Aktara Ahmed. MCLA Diganta Goyary and BTC Secretary Manas Das joined various senior officials to evaluate the work.

Departments under the microscope included Education, Agriculture, Health, PWD for buildings and roads, and Public Health Engineering. Heads of these departments delivered status reports covering Central Sector, Centrally Sponsored, State, and BTC schemes. They flagged various operational bottlenecks and discussed lingering issues slowing down site progress.

Leadership issued a clear mandate to the attendees. They were directed to "expedite ongoing projects, strengthen coordination among departments and address operational bottlenecks without delay." The instruction aims to keep work on schedule. Officials must now hit strict deadlines to get services to the people of Baksa.
