Guwahati: A high-speed crash killed a school principal. Pradip Debnath of Dhing KB School died in a head-on collision on Dhing Road in the Nagaon district of Assam. Two compressed natural gas vehicles smashed into each other at Meratala.
The impact killed Debnath instantly. Authorities received word of the accident and rushed to the scene. Police officers recovered the remains and moved the body to Nagaon Civil Hospital. A medical team will conduct a post-mortem examination.
Police have launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to the collision. Officials have provided no further details on the crash. As police noted, "Further details about the accident were not immediately available."
