Guwahati: Assam Minister Pijush Hazarika opened a suite of public works in Jagiroad on Sunday, September 6. He delivered a clean drinking water facility, installed streetlights on the local railway flyover, and set up new public dustbins and a toilet. Work is moving forward. Residents gathered for an inaugural meeting to witness the rollout of these long-awaited upgrades.

Hazarika took the stage to address his constituents. He promised that more development projects are coming to the area soon. The minister told the crowd, "I had been working sincerely for the welfare and development of people in the Jagiroad Assembly constituency as their elected representative." He claims his goal is to turn Jagiroad into a model district under the direction of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

The event drew a crowd of local officials and leadership. Barhampur MLA Jitu Goswami and the Morigaon Deputy Commissioner stood alongside other dignitaries to support the rollout. Hazarika spent time talking with locals to hear their concerns directly after the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
