Minister Hazarika touts infrastructure gains ahead of Nagaon by-election

Guwahati: Assam Agriculture and Irrigation Minister Pijush Hazarika campaigned for the BJP at Pavakati Bazar in Laharighat this week. The Bhuragaon Mandal organized the meeting to rally support before the Nagaon Lok Sabha by-election. Hazarika took the stage to highlight government progress. He focused on infrastructure projects and local flood control.

The minister noted that Pavakati previously suffered from severe flooding. Stronger embankments now guard the area. Hazarika stated, "Pavakati, which he described as one of the areas severely affected by floods in the past, has witnessed strengthened embankments and major flood protection works." He also credited the Asom Mala project for improved road connectivity throughout the region.

Cash flowed into the district for erosion control. Hazarika claimed the administration secured Rs 1,000 crore for these specific protection efforts. He promised the government would continue its development agenda without discriminating against any specific section of society. The minister urged local voters to back the BJP to keep the work moving.
