Assam Education Minister Pushes for NEP Adoption at Teachers Convention

Guwahati: Education Minister Ranoj Pegu took the stage in Guwahati on July 24. He spoke at the Public Works Department Conference and Training Centre during the first state-level convention for the Sadou Assam Madhyamik Xnatak Shikshak Mancha. Teachers and students packed the room. Pegu pushed them to work hard for the total development of every learner in the classroom.

The minister wants results. He demanded the effective implementation of the National Education Policy to boost the state's teaching standards. Pegu told the crowd: "The collective goal should be to nurture students into skilled, responsible and capable citizens who can contribute meaningfully to society."

The government wants a modern school system. Pegu expects the Sadou Assam Madhyamik Xnatak Shikshak Mancha to back state efforts to improve public education quality. He ended the event by wishing the organization success and promising deeper cooperation between the government and teaching staff.
