Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh BJP workers lit 'Aashirwad Ka Diya' lamps across the state on September 17 to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 76th birthday. The party aimed to honor his 25 years of public service. State leaders gathered to offer prayers for his health and longevity.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu and state BJP president Kaling Moyong ignited a ceremonial diya at the Theravada Buddhist Temple in Itanagar. The event moved to Ziro, where Rajya Sabha MP Tai Tagak directed the local celebration. At Donyi Polo Airport in Holongi, ministers Ojing Tasing and Dasanglu Pul joined party members for the ritual.
The event followed the official theme: "Jisne Desh Ka Jeevan Sanwara, Usko Hai Aashirwad Humara." Party office-bearers, Morcha heads, and elected representatives participated in the initiative alongside local workers. This display mirrored a broader nationwide effort marking the birthday of the Prime Minister.
