Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu and his cabinet passed a resolution honoring Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The move marks 25 years of Modi in public service. It covers his time as Gujarat Chief Minister through his current role as Prime Minister.

Khandu, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, and state BJP leaders kicked off the Seva Jyoti Yatra and Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha in Itanagar on October 11. Celebrations hit every district headquarters in the state. Local ministers, MLAs, and Zilla Parishad chairpersons held lamp-lighting events. Khandu credited Modi for sweeping infrastructure changes across the Northeast.

Beyond the celebrations, Khandu demanded better outcomes from the state administration. He told his cabinet that policy must do more than move paper. He said, "Every government decision must translate into meaningful outcomes and bring tangible improvements to the lives of citizens." The focus is now on service delivery that actually helps the public.

Khandu also addressed the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. He called it a cleansing exercise. He noted the state has about 6.90 lakh voters. He pressed political parties to support the revision, comparing it to similar work done under previous Congress governments. He expects government initiatives to show measurable, real-world impact moving forward.
