Itanagar: Devesh Kumar arrived at the BJP headquarters in Itanagar on October 6. Party officials gave him a warm welcome. Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, and state president Kaling Moyong led the reception. Several MLAs and party workers also filled the room.

The BJP appointed Kumar to the post last month. This change reflects a broader organizational shakeup across states and territories. Khandu told reporters that Kumar will bolster the party at the grassroots level. He touted the state as the Land of the Rising Sun. "It was a pleasure to receive his margdarshan and guidance. His words and direction will certainly help us move forward with greater clarity and commitment," Khandu said.

Kumar brings two decades of journalism experience to the role. He plans to leverage this background in public life to assist the local leadership. His work will focus on social causes and coordination across the Himalayan frontier. Kumar expressed his enthusiasm for the new assignment. "It is a pride moment to work for the saffron party in the beautiful state of Arunachal Pradesh," he noted.
