Two Die in Separate Incidents at Assam Tea Estate

Guwahati: A 10-year-old girl and a 28-year-old woman died Monday in separate incidents at Samdung Tea Estate in the Tinsukia district of Upper Assam. The girl, a local resident, died after a snakebite. In a second tragedy at the estate, 28-year-old Baijyanti Kanda died from an electric shock.

Kanda lived in the Itta Bhatta Line. Both victims arrived at Doomdooma Referral Hospital, where doctors declared them dead on arrival. The hospital staff processed the bodies for post-mortem examinations to confirm the exact causes of death.

Doomdooma Police launched investigations into the cases. Officers are currently reviewing the circumstances surrounding both deaths. Authorities wait on final medical reports to close the files.
