Agartala: Rural products from Tripura reached new heights this month. Two items made by women in Self-Help Groups earned a feature in the September 2026 edition of Hello 6E, the in-flight magazine for IndiGo. The goods now enjoy visibility across the carrier's massive network.

South Tripura women make the Khachuk chocolate. Meanwhile, the Star Mahila Dal in the Gomati district produces the Butterfly Pea Flower Tea. Both enterprises fall under the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission, known as TRLM.

These small local ventures turned raw resources into professional brands. TRLM officials credited the win to the hard work of the women involved. In a public statement, TRLM noted the recognition "highlights the growing potential of women-led enterprises in Tripura and efforts to transform local resources and innovative ideas into marketable products."

The feature provides a major push for entrepreneurship in the state. Local women are moving products far beyond the borders of Tripura. This jump to a national travel publication signals a shift for rural economic growth.

Beyond the exposure, TRLM officials pointed to a specific strategy behind the win. The mission actively assists these groups with product development, branding, and outreach, helping rural workers pivot from basic traditional skills to professional, market-ready innovations.

The feature acts as a catalyst for future sales. Authorities expect the high-altitude advertisement to spike consumer demand and pull these local brands into broader retail markets, signaling a clear shift in how Tripura connects its rural output to national buyers.
