TRLM Leads Push for Rural Job Training in Tripura

Agartala: The Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission teamed up with the Department of Rural Studies at Tripura University to boost skill development under DDU-GKY 2.0. They held a two-day event on August 11 and 12. Industry 5.0 was the primary focus.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Debabrata Das opened the conference. He noted the importance of building bridges between institutions. Academic experts from schools including Rabindra Bharati University, Bankura University, G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, and Tezpur University presented research. They debated shifts in the labor market and entrepreneurship trends.

The second day brought a CXO Meet. More than 20 organizations attended. This list included NSDC Guwahati, SIPARD, Tripura Rubber Board, ILS Hospitals, NSE, V-Mart, PRAN Food and Beverages, Jain Udyog, Hotel Airdrop, Hotel Noah Spire, and Vision Plus Security. Officials from TRLM met with project agencies to talk about market realities. Employers demanded training programs that match current job needs.

TRLM CEO Tarit Kanti Chakma, IAS, closed the event. He said that expanding these initiatives could transform lives. “Expanding skill development initiatives could transform livelihoods and strengthen Tripura’s economic base.” The mission handed out awards to contributors. Officials hope this partnership creates stable jobs for rural youth.
