Agartala: Women in Tripura are finding new work through a fresh rural enterprise. The Nayan Self-Help Group is now selling Longtharai Valley Green Tea to the public. They operate out of the Chawmanu block in Dhalai district. This project functions under the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission and its local management unit.

The product hits shelves under the brand name Dhalai Naturals. It comes from the hills of the Longtharai Valley. Every 30-gram pack sells for 100 rupees. The price includes all taxes. It stays fresh for 12 months. Producers focus on the antioxidant content of the tea.

TRLM says the tea supports heart health, immunity, and weight management. The agency views the program as a way to turn traditional skills into profit. Rural women lead the effort. As stated by TRLM, the mission aims to bring the freshness of the hill areas to consumers while creating livelihood opportunities for women associated with rural Self-Help Groups.

This initiative builds on the state goal of strengthening women-led businesses. It connects the remote hills of Dhalai to the broader market. The group turns local resources into sellable goods.
