Agartala: Tripura University officials took to the campus grounds to move students away from screens and back into the stacks. The Central Library organized a rally to put reading and deep research at the top of the campus agenda. Knowledge matters. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Debabrata Das led the march alongside faculty members and various university officials.
Dr. Champeswar Mishra, the University Librarian, coordinated the event with his Central Library team. They want students to stop viewing the library as a mere book lending stop. Instead, they hope scholars see the facility as a hub for academic exploration. The university stated, "The initiative was aimed at drawing students’ attention to the role of the library in university life."
The rally served as a loud push for regular reading habits. Officials hope this effort helps students look beyond their standard course material. By using journals and scholarly resources, they expect the community to foster a stronger culture of independent inquiry. Every participant pushed a simple message: research drives higher education.
