Agartala: Tripura University opened an Indian Knowledge Systems Corner inside its Central Library. Vice-Chancellor Professor Debabrata Das launched the new facility on October 12. This space provides study materials focused on the country's traditional heritage. It aims to help students and researchers apply ancient wisdom to modern classrooms and research.
The university built this center alongside the Vidya Bharati Uchha Shiksha Sansthan, Tripura. University officials believe the move helps the academic community grasp the power of intellectual history. The library now serves as a key resource hub. Finance Officer Debashish Pal and Librarian Dr. Champeswar Mishra joined faculty, staff, and students at the event.
A major goal involves preparing scholars for the Bharat BoudhIKS 2.0 National Level Examination. This test happens on November 21, 2026, across colleges nationwide. The university states the corner will assist aspirants in their studies, as it offers the only local access point for specific prep materials. According to university representatives, the project intends to "promote awareness of India's traditional knowledge heritage and support students preparing for an upcoming national-level examination on the subject."
