Agartala: Tipra Motha founder Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma expects a government notification on land rights for Tripura’s indigenous people within days. The breakthrough follows a Wednesday conversation with Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Tipra Motha representatives expect an invitation to New Delhi soon to continue formal talks. Pradyot plans to guide future party actions based on the specific recommendations inside that upcoming document.
Speed is the priority. The indigenous population needs a resolution now rather than later. Development in Tripura means nothing if the Tiprasa community remains unprotected. Pradyot remains unmoved on his core demands. "If you want development in Tripura, the Tiprasa people must get their rights," he said. He warns that the movement will stay firm until the government delivers.
Pradyot claims he will not trade away the future of the state. He urged his supporters to ignore political distractions and stay united. The goal is to secure peace and finish the terms of the Tiprasa Accord for the next generation. The fight remains non-negotiable.
