Agartala: Tripura officials inked three landmark agreements with the National Stock Exchange of India on Tuesday. The deal aims to kickstart entrepreneurship and sharpen financial literacy across the state. The signing went down at Pragya Bhavan in Agartala. Attendees included Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma, and top government staff.

Dr. Saha expects the partnerships to drive economic growth by opening doors to capital markets. These agreements target youth empowerment and MSME support. The State Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development also joined the fold. It is now one of the first government training institutes in the country to formalize this type of bond with the NSE. Minister Chakma lauded the move as a historic milestone. She stated, "The collaboration reflects the state's commitment to building a skilled, self-reliant and economically vibrant Tripura by connecting aspiring entrepreneurs and enterprises with the country's financial markets."

Additional attendees included Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha and Secretary Kiran Gitte. Meanwhile, the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission moved to track its own progress. It signed a separate pact with Transrural Consulting Private Limited on Tuesday. This firm will act as a technical support agency. They must evaluate how financial training changes the lives of rural women in Self-Help Groups. The study will hunt for strengths and gaps in current programs. Results will guide future efforts to improve financial management and sustainability for rural families.
