Agartala: Tripura officials signed three agreements with the National Stock Exchange of India on Tuesday. The deal aims to boost the state economy. The signing took place at Pragya Bhavan in Agartala. Attendees included Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma.

The partnership focuses on financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and skill development. It will provide better access to capital markets for local businesses. Dr. Manik Saha said the agreements mark a major shift for the state. He noted, "The initiative would serve as a benchmark for institutional collaboration in financial education and capacity building, helping create a financially aware, skilled and future-ready Tripura."

The State Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development is now a key partner in this project. It is among the first government training centers in India to link up with the exchange. The move also supports micro, small, and medium enterprises and trains government staff.

Santana Chakma called the deal a historic milestone. She expects it to nurture talent and open new market doors for the youth. Other notable figures at the event included Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha and secretary Kiran Gitte. The Directorate of Industries and Commerce and the Directorate of Skill Development organized the proceedings.
