Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha is now pushing to turn 458 investment proposals into reality. These deals, signed during the Destination Tripura Business Conclave 2026, carry a total value of Rs 1.31 lakh crore. The state government wants immediate results. Officials must prioritize inter-departmental coordination to clear bureaucratic hurdles.

Saha spoke at a blood donation camp honoring Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He told reporters: "In a small state like Tripura, MoUs worth Rs 1.31 lakh crore are a big development, and now we have to invest our whole focus in the grounding-related activities. Inter-departmental coordination is a must to convert all these proposals into reality."

Implementation remains the primary goal. The Chief Minister expects these investments to boost the Gross State Domestic Product and create new jobs. His administration will review project progress every month. Departments must now stick to fixed timelines for every proposal.

Power and Revenue departments face significant pressure. They must prioritize land allocation and power connections for incoming investors. Kiran Gitte, Secretary to the Chief Minister, presented a roadmap for project execution and investor communication. Each department will now appoint nodal officers to stay in constant touch with business partners. Chief Secretary J K Sinha also ordered faster decision-making to resolve infrastructure and land disputes.

The state has seen success before. During a previous summit in Delhi, Tripura grounded Rs 8,000 crore worth of projects out of Rs 15,000 crore in total proposals. Saha wants to replicate this success with the current 458 agreements. He also instructed officials to help local producers add value to their goods, making them more competitive in the open market.
