Agartala: Tripura banking leaders met Monday to check the pulse of the state's financial health. The 156th State Level Bankers' Committee meeting focused on credit flow and flagship government programs. They reviewed the status of the Kisan Credit Card, PM Vishwakarma, PMFME, PM Mudra Yojana, PM SVANidhi, and Swavalamban.
Tripura Chief Secretary J K Sinha chaired the session. Surendra Nidar, General Manager and Officer-in-Charge of the Reserve Bank of India, co-chaired the event held on September 14. Bankers and government officials gathered to tighten the oversight of these key lending initiatives.
The room was packed with stakeholders. Attendees included Rural Development Secretary Abhishek Singh, Finance and Agriculture Secretary Apurba Roy, and Finance Secretary Dr. Parshant Kumar Goyal. S Prabhu from ARDD and Fisheries joined them alongside Dr. Milind D Ramteke of Urban Development and Education, and OBC Welfare Special Secretary Kuntal Das.
Other participants included Rakhi Biswas from Institutional Finance, RBI General Manager Onsing Marchang, and NABARD Deputy General Manager Diganta Kumar Das. Sanjeev Kumar Thakur, Assistant General Manager of SLBC, Bijender Singh of Punjab National Bank, and SLBC Convenor Rituraj Krishna managed the proceedings. Representatives from member banks and various line departments also took part to "review various banking parameters and progress under flagship schemes."
