Tripura Gramin Bank Chief Meets Minister Tinku Roy to Boost State Growth

Agartala: Tripura Gramin Bank Chairman Satyendra Singh met with Minister Tinku Roy on Wednesday. Roy oversees Youth Affairs, Sports, Social Welfare, Social Education, and Labour for the Tripura government. They talked shop. The meeting focused on how to jumpstart local entrepreneurship and expand access to banking services across the state.

The bank plans to push credit services to individuals, women, and small business owners. Singh wants the bank to act as more than a lender. He intends to provide support that builds sustainable livelihoods for families. The chairman stated, "The institution's mission is not only to provide financial assistance but also to enable sustainable livelihood opportunities that can transform households and communities."

Roy emphasized the need for youth empowerment and grassroots business growth. He believes self-reliance drives the state forward. Both leaders agreed that financial institutions must back government efforts in skill development and job creation. They pledged to keep working together to ensure development reaches both rural and urban corners of Tripura.
