Agartala: Tripura Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy launched the NextGen Human Resource Management System at Pragna Bhavan on Tuesday. The state aims to deliver services faster and with more transparency. Digital upgrades drive the plan. The new platform tracks an employee’s entire career from their initial date of joining to the day they retire.
This tech overhaul promises better speed. Pension processing times will drop significantly while accuracy climbs. Employees can now file leave requests online, which then update their service books automatically. Finance department secretary Dr. Prashant Kumar Goyal noted, "With the introduction of NextGen HRMS, data of every government employee will be secured."
The initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Digital India vision. Tripura officials are pushing for a fully digital state administration. The government has already rolled out e-Office systems in every state office. During the launch event, officials unveiled a New Pension Proposal Rule Book, a DDO handbook, and additional digital modules.
Additional secretary Akinchan Sarkar provided the welcome address. Principal Accountant General Shailendra Vikram Singh, Accountant General Ranendra Sarkar, and Senior Deputy Accountant General Tanushree Biswas attended the ceremony alongside NIC staff. The event concluded with a documentary screening detailing the new system.
