Tito Yepthomi Turns Himself In Amid NSF Legal Battle

Kohima: Tito Yepthomi walked into the East Police Station on July 13. He surrendered three days after the Naga Students' Federation filed a complaint against him. The Dimapur Restaurant Union president faces legal pressure. Police released him on a PR bond shortly after he arrived.

This case stems from a July 10 FIR filed by the NSF. The organization had previously sparred with Yepthomi over his role as the former finance secretary. Tensions between the parties remain high. The legal back-and-forth continues in Dimapur.

Meanwhile, the court rejected a bail plea for Katho P Awomi on July 13. Awomi, the former NSF finance secretary, surrendered to police on July 4. Yepthomi filed the original complaint that led to Awomi's arrest. A judge denied his PR bond. He now remains in judicial custody. Officials noted, "The saga between the Naga Students' Federation's (NSF) former Finance Secretary and the President of the Dimapur Restaurant Union has taken a new turn."
