Kohima: A bus crash killed one person near a bridge on the Chare-Mokokchung road on August 26. The victim was the bus attendant. The vehicle carried students and teachers from Christ King School in Angangba Village, Longkhim, Tuensang. They were heading to Mopungchuket for a study tour.
Several others sustained injuries in the wreck. The Mopungchuket Community Tourism Society expressed deep sorrow regarding the tragedy. They sent condolences to the family of the dead attendant and prayed for the recovery of the students and staff. The group stood in solidarity with the school and everyone involved.
The Society released a statement on the incident. "May the departed soul rest in peace, and may God grant strength and comfort to the bereaved family during this difficult time."
