Agartala: Burglars hit three shops on Hari Mandir Road in Dharmanagar on Tuesday night. The thieves smashed locks and shutters, grabbing cash and valuables. Business owners found their stores ransacked on Wednesday morning. Goods were scattered across the floor. Initial estimates place the total loss at several lakhs.

Police from the local station arrived quickly to inspect the damage. Officers are currently reviewing CCTV footage to track the suspects. This incident follows a recent wave of robberies across North Tripura targeting homes, temples, and institutions. Fear is growing among residents.

Traders want more than just an investigation. They are pushing for consistent night patrols and better camera coverage in business districts. One merchant stressed that police work after a crime is not enough: "Traders argue that investigation after the fact is not enough." People now want to know if these crimes link back to an organized criminal network.
