Guwahati: Criminals are terrorizing Pathsala. Two violent incidents in the Bajali district have residents demanding immediate action from local authorities. Both crimes were caught on CCTV cameras, providing police with clear leads.
A man named Utpal Roy from Helona village lost Rs 5.40 lakh in a brazen daylight robbery. He was walking toward an HDFC Bank branch to deposit the cash when motorcycle-borne thieves snatched his bag. The suspects escaped before he could react. Pathsala Police are currently working to identify and arrest the perpetrators.
Days earlier, a Maruti Baleno with license plate AS19L 7794 slammed into a scooty. The car driver was moving recklessly. The impact threw one rider to the asphalt while the other was dragged for 15 to 20 metres. A helmet saved the victim's life. He is now being treated for multiple serious injuries. Pathsala Police seized the vehicle and confirmed, "The victim's family has filed an FIR at Pathsala Police Station."
Fear is growing. Citizens want tighter traffic enforcement and better surveillance to curb these crimes. They expect the police to hold offenders accountable for these blatant violations of public safety.
