Police Seize 15,000 Tramadol Capsules in Manipur Drug Bust

Imphal: Lilong police arrested two residents on September 14 following a major narcotics seizure. Officers apprehended Md. Faruk, 28, and Khusida, 40, both from Lilong Nungei. They face allegations involving the illegal possession of pharmaceutical drugs.

Authorities discovered 50 boxes stashed away. The haul contained 15,000 capsules of Tramadol Hydrochloride TRAMANIL. The seized drugs weighed roughly 7 kg.

The force is now hunting the origin and final destination of the load. They are digging into the roles played by the suspects. Police said they have "initiated further investigation to ascertain the source and intended destination of the capsules and to determine the involvement of the arrested persons in the alleged illegal possession or distribution of the pharmaceutical drug."
