Imphal: Security forces hammered a militant supply line in Manipur. A joint team snatched two rifles, 240 rounds of ammunition, and over a kilogram of brown sugar from a white Bolero. The bust went down on October 26 in the Kingkin village area near M Songgel.

Churachandpur District Police teamed up with the 129 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force and the 5th Battalion of the Assam Rifles for the raid. They pulled over the suspicious vehicle during an intelligence-led sweep. Inside, they found one foreign-made AK-series rifle and one foreign-made MA1 rifle alongside 1.027 kg of brown sugar.

Officers arrested 23-year-old Letkhothang Khongsai at the scene. Khongsai lives in D Lhangjol village. Under questioning, he admitted his role as a cadre for the Kuki National Front (Military Council). The group currently operates under the Suspension of Operations agreement. Authorities seized the vehicle and all recovered goods to process the case.
