NGBF Demands Justice for Deadly IED Blast as ESMAM Condemns Sexual Assault

Kohima: The Nagaland Gaonburas Federation condemned the July 13 IED attack at Khopanullah, Chümoukedima A. The blast killed one Assam Rifles soldier and left four others wounded. The federation branded the event a "senseless act" and demanded a swift investigation to find the culprits. They urged all Naga political groups to work with authorities to ensure justice and protect peace in the state.

Citizens should keep calm. Restraint is necessary now. The NGBF offered condolences to the soldier's family and hopes for a quick recovery for those injured. They believe these violent actions only hinder efforts toward a lasting solution for the Naga political issue.

Separately, the Ex-Servicemen Association Medziphema hit back at a separate crime. They slammed the sexual assault of a minor girl in Medziphema town on July 7. The suspect, Paominlun Gangte, is the son of Lenthang Gangte. The association called the crime intolerant and inhuman. They want the government to provide the victim and her family with full medical, psychological, and legal support while pushing for an impartial probe.
