Imphal: Former minister Dr. Khumujam Ratankumar is demanding answers. He wants to know why Manipur remains locked in a cycle of bloodshed after nearly four years of chaos. The violence keeps claiming lives. It leaves residents trapped in constant insecurity.
Ratankumar blasted the government’s inability to stop the unrest during a blood donation camp in Mayang Imphal. The event was a joint effort between the Mayai Lambi Chapter of the Mayang Imphal Block Youth Congress Committee’s Helping Hands for People and Shija Hospital. He voiced frustration over persistent, unprovoked attacks on civilians.
"He described such incidents as deeply distressing and questioned why violence continued despite the deployment of additional Central security forces."
The state remains heavy with security personnel. Yet, the attacks do not stop. Ratankumar urged authorities to quit guessing and actually fix the breakdown in law and order to win back public trust. He pushed for more effective security tactics to finally end the prolonged instability.
Fifty people stepped up to donate blood at the camp. Local residents from the surrounding areas joined in to help. The initiative serves as a gritty reminder of community solidarity while the state grapples with ongoing danger and political uncertainty.
