Kohima: Nagaland Agriculture Advisor Mhathung Yanthan flagged the state of Wokha’s road network on October 29. He singled out the crumbling route to Mount Tiyi College. Students and faculty currently struggle with the path. Other local colony roads and stretches of the National Highway are also failing.
Yanthan spoke at the Mount Tiyi College Autumn Fiesta. He enjoyed the student interaction there. He noted that their questions showed real care for the area. "The thoughtful questions raised during the interaction session reflected their genuine interest in the development and progress of the district," Yanthan said.
The government is now talking to the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited. They want to force repairs. Colony roads sit under the Urban Development Department. Yanthan promised to push those officials for action. As the head of the District Planning and Development Board, he keeps advocating for better connectivity. Better roads build the region.
