Kohima: Nagaland Health and Family Welfare officials held a farewell event in Kohima on September 2. They honored outgoing Principal Director Dr. Mereninla Senlem and Director Dr. Menguzenuo Margaret Yhome. Commissioner and Secretary Kevileno Angami praised the duo for their team spirit, dedication, and sacrifices during their long tenures.
Dr. Senlem thanked her colleagues for years of guidance. She urged staff to foster close ties with District Task Forces to ensure programs hit their targets. She also pointed toward the National Health Mission pool of talent. "The department could make better use of its existing manpower through structural changes," she said. Dr. Yhome also shared her gratitude for the support received throughout her career.
Dr. Keveduyi Theyo officially stepped into the role of Principal Director. He accepted the new responsibility with humility. He promised to maintain the institution's core principles while pushing for growth. The ceremony featured Dr. Puse Liegise as chair, with an invocation by Dr. Bendangtula and a closing benediction from Dr. Asunu Thong.
