Nagaland launches two-month HIV and STI awareness blitz in Kohima

Kohima: The Nagaland State AIDS Control Society started its third round of the Intensified IEC Campaign on HIV and STI prevention. The state-wide initiative runs in Kohima district from August 12 through October 12, 2026. Efforts target 21 villages and 70 local schools to push better health education among students and residents.

Deputy Commissioner B. Henok Buchem wants total participation. He requested that all involved schools and village leaderships "extend full cooperation and support for the effective implementation of the campaign." This project aims to harden defenses against infections through direct community engagement.
